Libraries feeling impact of funding cuts

A reduction in funding has led to more library closures this year, according to a survey by CIPFA.

A reduction in funding has led to more library closures this year, with 200 service points closing in 2011-12, according to a survey by CIPFA.

CIPFA's UK Annual Libraries Survey also found that the number of staff is down by 8% in the same time period, compared to a 4.3% reduction in 2010-11.
