Local government has been recognised in the latest round of peerages, with two senior figures heading to the House of Lords.

Local government has been recognised in the latest round of peerages, with two senior figures heading to the House of Lords. 

Former Conservative chairman of the Local Government Association and Central Bedfordshire councillor, James Jamieson, was named as one of 13 new peers.
