London boroughs criticised by commissioner

Three councils have been ordered to make improvements by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) after failing to respond to subject access requests (SAR).

Three councils have been ordered to make improvements by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) after failing to respond to subject access requests (SAR).

SARs must be responded to within three months, but an ICO investigation found Croydon, Hackney and Lambeth LBCs repeatedly failed to meet this legal deadline.
