London's business district under threat by new planning laws

London's status as a world-class business environment threatened by changes to planning.

Changes to planning making it easier to convert office space into homes could threaten the City of London's status as a world-class business environment, its chief planning officer has warned.

Speaking at an event organised by the British Property Federation (BPF),Peter Rees said the Square Mile and other leading business districts should be safeguarded from the planning laws, or could lose their ability to attract new firms and investment.
