The recent coverage of several executives, including some in the public sector, working flexibility from homes abroad has sparked hot debate about what is appropriate.

Across our workforces we now use technology and buildings in a more sophisticated way to deliver services. The focus is more and more on frontline service outcomes rather than whether someone is ‘seen' working in the office. It can prove challenging for team managers to create a team environment and for people to feel they belong.
