London mayor Boris Johnson has made a key appointment in his bid to drive forward consolidation across the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Mr Johnson has appointed chairman of the London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA), Edi Truell, to be his unpaid advisor on pensions and investments.
