Mayoral Development Corporation proposed for Stockport

Greater Manchester Combined Authority has put forward proposals to form a Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC) in Stockport.

Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has put forward proposals to form a Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC) in Stockport.

The regeneration company, which would have powers to acquire, develop, hold, and dispose of land and property, would be the combined authority's first MDC and the first in the UK to focus on a town centre.
