District councils should be handed a greater role in devolution talks, a minister has said.

Speaking at a meeting of the Local Government Association's councillors' forum alongside deputy prime minster Angela Rayner this afternoon, new local government minister, Jim McMahon, said he had concerns district councils had been ‘left out' of devolution deals.
