As I retire from my position as the chief executive of Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), I find myself reflecting on its remarkable journey over the last 10 years.

It has been an honour to lead an organisation dedicated to speaking truth to power, being bold, and shaping the debate on public finance and public services. The public sector needs this now more than ever as we turn our attention towards a General Election.
