Local authorities may be left open to a ‘deluge' of legal challenges following the Government's reforms of social care, a cross-party group of MPs and Peers are warning.

In a new report, the Committee said more prevention and integration is needed if the Care and Support Bill is to work. It said the current proposals have not been fully thought out, and a national awareness campaign on the national care and support offer is needed.
