Senior adult social care leaders have warned that ‘effective local partnership working is being undermined by increasing national direction' on delayed transfers of care (DTOC).

A letter from president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS), Margaret Willcox, and Local Government Association (LGA) chief executive, Mark Lloyd, said sector leaders had been ‘deeply troubled' by the reports and had sought to ‘push back on encroaching central direction'.
