We need a national plan for children

Steve Crocker says we have a chance to create a more holistic system to achieve a country that works for all children. Concerted action on child poverty is needed along with an urgent national review of children’s mental health services.

The Independent Review of Children's Social Care recently published its long anticipated final report.

Many of its recommendations can take us forward with the focus on supporting children and families early on via family help the central reform – albeit one that needs testing.
