NEC buys Northgate for £475m

Software and services provider Northgate Public Services (NPS) has announced it has been bought by Japanese multi-national NEC Corporation for £475m.

Software and services provider Northgate Public Services (NPS) has announced it has been bought by Japanese?multi-national NEC Corporation for £475m.

NPS, which is used by half of local authorities to collect revenues and administer benefits, has been acquired from international private equity firm Cinven, which has owned Northgate for three years and will remain a stakeholder with a board position.
