NHS England has been criticised after it downgraded the programme director for the Better Care Fund (BCF) to a part-time role.

NHS England has been criticised after it downgraded the programme director for the Better Care Fund (BCF) to a part-time role.

Andrew Ridley, who was appointed just five months ago after Whitehall criticism of the BCF plans submitted in April, will now have to juggle the role with extra responsibilities as regional director for the south, responsible for the NHS England function for 13.5m people.
