NHS to sell off underused land for new affordable housing

The NHS will identify its underused land that can be sold off for affordable housing, funding up to 50,000 nurses.

The NHS will identify its underused land that can be sold off for affordable housing, funding up to 50,000 nurses over the next five years.

David Flory, deputy chief executive of the NHS, has confirmed that land no longer needed by the service will be assessed by the NHS Information Centre. It estimates that better use of its land could save up to £2.5bn.
