Ofsted 'mindful' of councils' coronavirus pressures

The watchdog has promised to be ‘extremely mindful’ of pressures faced by local authorities as it looks at resuming operations post-lockdown.

Ofsted's national director for social care has promised to be ‘extremely mindful' of pressures faced by councils as it looks at resuming operations post-lockdown.

The watchdog is looking at ‘risk-assessed short visits' looking at help and protection, children in care and care leavers, and impact of leadership, following Government advice on social distancing, Yvette Stanley told a policy conference organised by the Westminster Education Forum.
