A social work professor has accused Ofsted of ‘undermining and destabilising' children's services departments with ‘unhelpful' judgements.

Ray Jones, whose roles include being an adviser to Sandwell MBC, said the council had been ‘knocked back' after its children's services were rated inadequate by Ofsted in June.
