The Prime Minister and I have started our new leadership roles at similar times. I imagine we are each delighted to have secured our respective positions and face similar calls from our respective stakeholders for insights into our early priorities.

With CIPFA's long and proud tradition of championing good quality public financial management and public service delivery, I imagine some of these priorities may be in the same ballpark.
