A group of homecare workers have been awarded £100,000 in backdated pay in a tribunal ruling that could have further implications for the sector.

A group of homecare workers have been awarded £100,000 in backdated pay in a tribunal ruling that could have further implications for the sector.

The employment tribunal ruled that carers making home visits should be paid for time spent travelling between people's houses, in a case brought by the Unison trade union against contractors for Haringey LBC.
