So, the Department for Education has announced the measures it will be using to trial ‘payment by results' with local authorities.

Designed to reinforce the core purpose of children's centres, local authorities in the trial areas will be rewarded for reducing gaps in school readiness, and increasing the take-up of early education and support for those in greatest need.
