Peers urge chief to intervene in planning service

Tandridge DC's chief executive David Ford needs to intervene to sort out the council's planning service, a Local Government Association (LGA) corporate peer challenge has said.

The council said it was ‘preparing an action plan' after only 55% of major planning applications submitted were granted compared to 82% across all English district councils in 2023-24.
