Perfecting the art of procurement

The Procurement Bill should have been bolder and stronger, says John Tizard. But there is nothing to stop local authorities bringing in some of the measures it should have included, he believes.

The Procurement Bill is reaching its final stages in Parliament. The Bill is designed to replace the EU public procurement regulations which have been the regulatory basis for public procurement in the UK for many decades.
