Pickles announces new council tax arrangements

Changes to council tax will allow households to spread bill payments over 12 months rather than 10.

Changes to council tax will allow households to pay their bill over 12 months rather than 10, and will lower the average bill for a band D property by £24 a month.

Communities Secretary, Eric Pickles, has also confirmed a third deal to enable councils to freeze council tax in 2014-15.
