Pickles hits out at 'Stalinist' media advice

Communities secretary Eric Pickles has demanded communications guidance for parish councillors be scrapped, claiming it was ‘completely inappropriate’ and compromised free speech.

Communities secretary Eric Pickles has demanded communications guidance for parish councillors should be scrapped, claiming it is ‘completely inappropriate' and is compromising free speech. 

 Mr Pickles hit out at the guidance, claiming it is a ‘Stalinist' approach to communications.
