Planning for resilience

As the effects of global heating become increasingly clear, ‘resilience' to the unavoidable impacts of already existing climate change has become part of the wider imperative to prevent and mitigate further damage through decarbonisation.

We have a wealth of information and actions that already form the basis of the UK's efforts to mitigate and to adapt to climate change. The Met Office Climate Projections outline what is to come in terms of more extreme climate events, informing the National Adaptation Programme and its upcoming third instalment to the country's climate response alongside the broader National Resilience Strategy.
