To minimise reductions to frontline services, Hampshire CC is constantly exploiting the latest technology to find better, more cost-effective ways of meeting residents' needs – and it's paying off.

For instance, by equipping staff with mobile devices, they are able to work more flexibly. This is making a real difference, particularly with our most vulnerable residents. Occupational therapists working with young people with disabilities, or with young care leaver advisers now use their devices to draw up plans together, without the need to travel back to an office. That means they can spend more face-to-face time with their clients.
