Porter confirms he will stand for LGA chairman

LGA conservative group leader, Cllr Gary Porter, has confirmed he will stand to be chairman of the association, following its shift in political control.

LGA conservative group leader, Cllr Gary Porter, has confirmed he will stand to be chairman of the association, following its shift in political control. 

Under Conservative group  rules, Cllr Porter was due to step down as group leader after reaching the three-year limit of his term.
