A senior officer at Powys CC is to receive a near two-year old redundancy package currently unavailable to staff at the town hall.

Voluntary severance arrangements agreed by Clarence Meredith in 2011 when working as strategic director of law and governance will be applied when he leaves the town hall in April, the officer having been asked to remain in work for a further two years to lead the council's job evaluation programme.
