I have been enjoying the latest TV show, The Newsroom, from screenwriter Aaron Sorkin. While not especially loved by the critics, to my mind, the show offers a great slice of TV escapism – not quite up to his West Wing zenith, but highly watchable, nonetheless.
It concerns a TV newsroom presenter, Will McAvoy, who sets out to change the way news is presented. No longer will who is marrying/divorcing/cheating on whom be covered.
