Questions over councils' capacity to respond to COVID after Boris announcement

Doubts have been cast over whether councils will have the resources to respond to future outbreaks and new variants.

Concerns have been raised about the capacity of local government to respond to future COVID outbreaks.

The Government this week unveiled its Living with COVID strategy, which will end both legal requirements to self-isolate and free tests for most people in England.
