Questions raised over social care spending

New analysis has questioned the effectiveness of public spending on social care.

A report from the Institute for Government and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) concluded that emergency funding for discharges was ‘problematic' and ‘unlikely to have the desired effect'.
