The Government has confirmed English councils will receive millions of pounds to help them deliver the ‘biggest increase in affordable housebuilding in a generation'.

Deputy prime minister Angela Rayner promised announcements on investment in social and affordable housing will be made at the Spending Review in October in a letter to council leaders so that providers could ‘plan for the future'.
