Redress the balance on lack of diversity

Following the results of an exclusive The MJ/PPMA survey, Heather Jameson says the sector must look to diversity in its leadership if it is to address the new sets of challenges ahead.

It will come as no surprise to anyone that HR managers have raised concerns about diversity at the senior levels of local government.

The latest survey of PPMA members has shown two-thirds of HR managers are concerned about the glass ceilings faced by women and minorities. And it is no surprise – it is woeful.
