Resources review: localism in action?

Joanna Averley looks at in more detail the recent publication of the Local Government Resources Review.

Wait for a bus and three come along at once! Well that's how it feels with the publication of the Local Government Resources Review (LGRR) and the announcement of a new Minister for Cities.

The LGRR however has gone largely unnoticed in the national press and media which is a shame given it is one of the most radical changes to local government funding in decades and has the potential to be the first real example of localism and decentralisation in action.
