No-one said it was going to be easy to turn this one around. Locked into a self-defeating culture, Anglesey Council paid the ultimate price in March 2011 when Welsh minister for local government and communities, Carl Sargeant, appointed a team of commissioners to take responsibility for the executive functions of the council.
Yet, 16 months on, all the announcements at Anglesey – and in Cardiff – are all about moving onwards and upwards.
