Rother District Council is considering abolishing the role of chief executive under a proposed restructure.

Rother District Council is considering abolishing the role of chief executive and reducing its senior managers from nine to six under a proposed restructure.

The proposals would see the council's nine departments reduced to six, with current chief executive, David Stevens, being replaced with two executive directors. The restructure would save £200,000 on staffing in the current financial year.
