With local government reorganisation (LGR) and devolution in discussion across large parts of the country, it provides an opportunity to take stock of how these structural changes are impacting the career plans of senior officers. With the local government workforce at the centre of making these reforms real and at the heart of delivering the required benefits, it raises the question of how talent pools will be affected and what this might mean for local authorities in the future.
With this in mind, Tile Hill commissioned a survey to capture the perspectives of public sector leaders and gain insight into the mood and beliefs of those at the frontline of change to ensure they could support people and organisations to navigate the period ahead.
