Shaping the digital leaders of tomorrow

Martin Ferguson reflects on the work the Society of Information Technology Management (Socitm) has been doing to prepare the leaders of today for the challenges of tomorrow, and how the rest of the sector is following suit

Information, communications and technologies are changing – ever faster. Pervasive digital capabilities require new rules and new ethics: it's a daily, near hourly churn of concepts, systems and security threats. 

If the public sector is going to keep up with this blistering pace, it's going to need the best from its leaders – those that can steer the digital technologies that will drive our vital services through the choppy seas of both change and austerity, and achieve new and better outcomes with, and for, our citizens.
