A council that had been sharing its neighbour's top managers for several months has poached the trio after the other authority got cold feet.

The three senior council officers – chief executive Sheila Oxtoby, Section 151 officer Karen Sly and head of organisational development Julie Cooke – have almost 50 years combined service to North Norfolk DC.
