A simple plan for partnerships

Plans are under way to focus the work of Local Partnerships on three key themes. Adele Gritten and Keith Fraser talk to Heather Jameson about their plans to take the public sector body to the next stage.

Local Partnerships is a little bit of an anomaly. It is not quite public sector, not quite private sector. It is not quite part of local government, but not quite outside it. It is a joint venture between the Treasury, the Local Government Association and the Welsh Government – and it has a new chair and chief executive.

Keith Fraser became chair of Local Partnerships' board in July 2022. Already a member of the Youth Justice Board, a commissioner for the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities, he has a collection of non-executive and advisory roles.
