Skills England to bring together central and local government

A new body will provide strategic oversight of the post-16 skills system, bringing together central and local government, businesses, training providers and unions, the Government said this week.

A new body will provide strategic oversight of the post-16 skills system, bringing together central and local government, businesses, training providers and unions, the Government said this week.

Skills England will convene mayoral combined authorities to ‘identify system issues and provide advice to Government, leading to a more coherent system'.
