Slough BC's cabinet has signed off on a contract that will see its children's services taken over by an independent body.

Its decision to green light a contract for the children's social care department to be run by Slough Children's Services Trust Ltd will now be debated by the full council on 22 September ahead of a potential start date just nine days later on 1 October.
