New research has found social care reform costs will exceed Government estimates by £10bn but ministers have rebuffed calls for more funding.

Analysis published today by the County Councils' Network (CCN) and consultancy Newton found the cost of the reforms will reach at least £25.5bn by 2032 rather than the Government estimate of £15.6bn, and that 5,000 extra staff will be needed.
