Social workers raise grievance with Leeds

Members of the Unison trade union lodged a grievance relating to caseloads, pay and benefits.

Social workers raised a formal grievance with Leeds City Council due to pressures on children's services, it has been revealed.

A report to the council's executive board on the workforce published this week details how 77 members of the Unison trade union lodged the grievance in April relating to support, work and caseloads, the progression process, pay and benefits.
