Capital spending in local government will still shrink overall despite chancellor Jeremy Hunt declaring infrastructure a ‘growth priority,' senior officers' group Solace has said.

Solace spokesperson for finance, Patrick Melia, warned the reduction would ‘hamper future growth'.
