Local authority chief executive's body SOLACE is about to lose one of its new co-managing directors after just two-and-a-half months in post.

Mike Bennett, who took up his role at the start of April, has tendered his resignation as he plans to pursue a new life in France. He told The MJ his decision means he will see through the changes to the organisation before his move in the late summer.
