SOLACE/CIPFA deal aims to add more financial 'variety'

Two officer-led local government organisations are in talks to develop a finance-based sector-led improvement programme that would compete with the Local Government Association’s (LGA) offer, The MJ can reveal.

Two officer-led local government organisations are in talks to develop a finance-based sector-led improvement programme that would compete with the Local Government Association's (LGA) offer, The MJ can reveal.

As councils come under increasing financial pressure, the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) are working together to ‘bring a bit more variety to the market'.
