No other councils have contacted Whitehall with financial concerns on the scale of Northamptonshire CC, the local government minister has confirmed.

Speaking after Northamptonshire issued the first Section 114 notice in almost 20 years, chairman of the Communities and Local Government Committee, Clive Betts, asked Rishi Sunak what assessment ministers had made of whether other councils faced similar financial risks up to 2018/19.
