The recent Commons transport select committee's findings on road deaths made compelling reading.

It is bad news that road deaths are increasing, and it's especially concerning, given the media focus on councils' perceived lack of progress in delivering safer roads, following on from the Government's scrapping of national targets and the shifting of more responsibility to local government.
