Back from my three-day break in Croatia, I have enjoyed my holiday reading – and the one thing I have been reminded of is how often ‘big' ideas and grand projects fail.

Experts are wrong nearly as often as the general public. Tim Harford's Adapt, a well written, lively and thought-provoking book should be on the reading list of everyone who wants to get things done.
